Upload a fuel-card or expenses export as CSV, with one row per fill-up: date, postcode of the station, fuel, litres and price per litre (or the line amount in pounds). Download a template.

Tank Prices uses the rows only to work out the comparison. We don’t store or log them. Up to 1,000 rows. Each fill-up is compared with stations in the same postcode district at midday that day. Tank Prices’ price history began on 14 October 2026, so earlier fill-ups can’t be checked yet.

What these tools don’t cover

Comparisons use the prices forecourts report publicly, so they don’t include contracted fuel-card rates, bunkered fuel, driver time or route changes. These free tools don’t need an account. For price history, an API or competitor alerts, see Tank Prices Pro.

For day-to-day buying, drivers can compare prices near them and use the detour calculator to decide whether a cheaper station is worth the trip.
